In recent days, Malaysia Balingian 2×300MW Coal-Fired Power Station Project started the lifting erection of steel structures of main workshop. It is contracted by MCC5 Group Shanghai Corp. Ltd. The leaders from Malaysia local client and the General Contractor (Shanghai Electric Group Company Limited) attended the lifting erection ceremony.
MCC5 Group Shanghai Corp. Ltd. has contracted the fabrication and supply of steel structures for boiler frames of 1# & 2# lines and main workshop for this power station. There are totally about 14000 t steel structures. The lifting erection boiler frame structures of 1# & 2# lines were completed separately at the end of 2015 and at the beginning of 2016. The successful lifting erection of steel structures of main workshop indicates that the site steel structure erection has entered the overall construction stage.
It is reported that this project is the first project to use circulating fluidized bed boiler in Malaysia. It is located on the Balingian Riverside in the middle of Sarawak, Malaysia. After it is completed, it will be an important power station in Sarawak, Malaysia.（Reported by: Lin Zhi）
